Gazprom Neft Cup fields referees from 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship

Referees have been announced for the opening matches of the 8th International Gazprom Neft Cup KHL Youth Ice Hockey Tournament.

Today, April 20, at 19:50 Omsk time (Moscow time + 3 hours), Avangard and Traktor (Chelyabinsk ice hockey team) will play during the East Group opening ceremony at the Omsk Arena, Siberia’s largest ice sports complex. The match will be arbitrated by referee Yevgeny Petrov, who will be assisted by linesmen Ilya Romanov and Alexander Meshcheryakov (Moscow Hockey League).

Also at 19:50 Minsk time (Moscow time −1 hour) SKA Saint-Petersburg and the hosts, Dinamo (Minsk) will take to the ice to play at the Republic of Belarus’ new Chizhovka Arena. Head referee Maxim Sidorenko will preside over the West Group opening game and will be assisted by linesmen Vasily Koleda and Ivan Dedyulya. All three are representatives of the Ice Hockey Federation of the Republic of Belarus. Notably, two of the three officials, Maxim Sidorenko and Ivan Dedyulya, have been confirmed by the International Hockey Federation as referees of games at the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship, which will start in Minsk on May 9.
