Omsk: One Month to the Tournament

The Organizing Committee of the 8th Gazprom Neft Cup International KHL Kids Hockey Tournament held its regular meeting in Omsk on March 21. Omsk will host all matches in the Tournament’s East Group, as well as the Tournament Superfinal, which will be held on April 25.

Main items discussed at the meeting were the opening and closing ceremonies for the Tournament’s East Group, organization of the Superfinal, as well as advertising and PR campaigns.

The Tournament will include a number of exciting special events for spectators, including prize draws with valuable prizes. An entertainment zone will be available during intermissions featuring table-top games, carousels, water make-up and caricature artists, and much more. Every spectator will receive a Tournament souvenir to take home.

Players and spectators at the Superfinal will also enjoy a concert by the group Pizza, and the match will be followed by a ceremony, at which the Gazprom Neft Cup will be awarded to the Tournament’s winning team.

The Tournament Organizing Committee also approved the idea of holding a seminar in Omsk for ice hockey specialists to be led by the Honoured Coach of USSR and Russia, Vladimir Yurzinov.
